Wojciech Cejrowski stand up show
On the 16th of October at 7 p.m. in the Pozna Philharmonic there was a stand up show conducted by Mr. Wojciech Cejrowski. In shows like this a conductor is just talking to or with the audience for a certain time, often playing jokes or telling interesting stories. Mr. Wojciech Cejrowski is definitely an interesting person with a good sense of humor and knowledge about the world so I decided to take a part in his show.
All began with Mr. Cejrowskis introduction about how proud he is to be in Pozna. He vacillated how to win the audience. There were some witty jokes about Greater Polands citizens avidity and greediness but they didnt hurt. Then he talked about his last journey to the Peruvian jungle. This seemed very interesting and took a great deal of time. Ive learned about some specific species of animals, heard some stories about Indians and their traditions and also listened to the particular examples of adventure that happened to Mr. Cejrowski himself in the woods. He also explained why such an excursion differs from a war. It is also an adventure. But its different. The different kind of brave is needed here. You dont have to overcome enemies and dangers. You have to overcome yourself and the limits of your dignity he said. He also gave some examples of that. From eating a parrot and monkey to doing your physiological needs within a group. These stories were told in a funny way but also made one to think about all of it. Whats more, he often referred to the politics. In the end he reached the peak of it when he started talking about what annoys me. Then Mr. Cejrowski started mentioning the lack of freedom in our country, the European Union politics, the ridiculous law. He compared it to the situation he found in other countries in the world (not in Europe). Within this comparison, our state seemed hopples. We really dont know what we are forbidden to do, and that it should be widely free to our choice. The whole show ended with questions from the audience which also tackled the political problems.
I think that it was one of the best evenings I had since a long time. The atmosphere was hilarious, people were cheering and laughing and Mr. Cejrowski was definitely in a good shape! I recommend such a show to everyone who looks for a good evening, a piece of interesting information and lots of fun!
