It does not focus on the horror side of the story, and wasn�t created to scare the audience (off). It is the most humane Frankenstein I have ever seen. Boyle directs a drama about people: about the craving for knowledge, about mistakes, and the
dreadful side of succeeding in science. But it is also a story about forgiveness, about feeling alone and different, about looking for acceptance, and coping with failure.
